Greetings from the Japan Guide Awards Management office!
We are now accepting applications from eligible guides for the Japan Guide Awards 2025.
The purpose of this award is to develop and improve the skills of interpreter guides throughout Japan. The awards will be judged and presented based on a comprehensive evaluation of their past experience, skills, tour itinerary originality, on-site ability, and guest satisfaction.
Review Period: June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025
Application Deadline: July 31, 2025
The awards ceremony will be held at the Tokyo American Club on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
We look forward to receiving applications from many amazing guides!
*1 If you are a guide registered with "Japan Guide Agency" operated by JGA Inc., you are automatically eligible for entry. There is no need to apply using this form.
*2 You must provide a reference to apply. In addition to travel agencies, OTAs, organization representatives, and other qualified interpreter-guides are also eligible as referrences.
*3 Guides who are not licensed guide-interpreters can also apply.
*4 Separate registration is required to participate in the award ceremony. Details will be posted at a later date.
About Japan Guide Awards
The Japan Guide Awards is an award for outstanding tour guide-interpreters with the goal of fostering the growth tour guide-interpreters throughout Japan, in terms of quality and quantity. The Japan Guide Awards Executive Committee, consisting of national and regional tour guide-interpreters in Japan, is the organizer of the awards.
The Japan Guide Awards will recognize outstanding national and regional tour guide-interpreters all over Japan that are nominated by registered members. After a first and second round of selection based on a comprehensive review of each guide's experience, skills, tour itineraries, on-site responsiveness, and guest satisfaction among other factors, the final vote by registered members will determine the winners of each award, including the Guide of the Year.
